The visit to the Crypt of the Original Sin called the Sistine Chapel of the rock wall painting in Pietrapenta. This is the oldest evidence of rock art of Italian south.

In the afternoon walking with the guide through the most evocative streets of the Sassi, the Schiavoni district (where time has stopped), the Barbarico Cemetery, the Rock Church of Santa Lucia alle Malve, a visit to the Grotta house. At the end the visit to “Casa Noha” (property of FAI) with suggestive multi-media presentation of 10000 years of the local art and history.

Third Day: MATERA Meeting with the guide for a tour to discover the medieval and baroque Matera (from Piazza Vittorio Veneto to one of the most beautiful lookouts of the city), Piazza Vittorio Veneto, Church of San Francesco d’Assisi, Piazza del Sedile, Cathedral, Church of Purgatory , Via Ridola, Panoramic View on the Sasso Caveoso. In the early afternoon we will visit the Palombaro Lungo di Matera, 15 meters deep cistern from 18th century, which is lying under the city’s main square with arches carved out of the existing rock and still supplying water to the inhabitants of  Matera.
