Walking through the picturesque “calli”, in fact, its Roman, early Christian and early Middle Ages history re-emerges in the Basilicas of S. Eufemia and Sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces with its splendid mosaics, in the Baptistery and in the remains of the Basilica of Piazza Vittoria. The route then continues to the south, with the promenade along the dike, to breathe the sea breeze and recognize on the horizon the Gulf of Trieste and the contours of the Istrian peninsula.
Fourth Day: VERONA
“The day of beauty”
Guided tour of the city: Piazza Bra, the Arena, the Casa di Giulietta, Piazza Erbe with its picturesque buildings, the wonderful Madonna Verona, the Lamberti Tower and the Domus Mercatorum, Piazza dei Signori and the surrounding medieval inner courtyards, the Palazzo della Ragione and the Arche Scaligere; finally you will arrive at the Adige River, to admire the Pietra bridge and the evocative Roman Theater (outside).
