Day 1 – Arrival in Milan / Viareggio
In the morning arrival at Milan airport. Meet your tour escort and leave for Viareggio, famous sea-side resort on the Tuscan Coast. Check in at the hotel, welcome drink, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 – Viareggio
In the morning guided visit to the fish market, the fruit and vegetable market, to discover the fresh and typical products of thi region. In the afternoon “hands-on” cooking class in an ancient and renowned restaurant, located by the promenade. The restaurant chef will teach you some typical seafood and possibility to appriciate a local wine tasting during dinner guided by professional somelier. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 3 – Viareggio / Siena
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Siena through green vineyards and olive trees. In the morning tour of a wine production center. The visit will allow you to explore the wine cellars and also an olive-oil press and u to enjoy a taste of the typical products. Transfer to Siena, check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 – Siena: Florence excursion
Full day excursion to Florence. Arrival and visit to the Central food market where you will merge into the folkloristic Italian enviroment, discovering the typical products displayed on the stalls. In the early afternoon guided tour of the city centre: Cathedral with Brunelleschi’s cupola and Giotto’s tower and baptistery. Then on to Signoria square, passing by the Uffizi Gallery and reach to picturesque Old Bridge. Time for shopping. Return to Siena, dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
Day 5 – Siena
In the morning guided visit to Siena, one of the best kept Medieval towns in Italy. Stroll through its narrow Gothic streets, lined with palaces and patrician mansions, visit the marvelluos Cathedral and reach Piazza del Campo, paved with bricks and encircled by a ring of stone slabs. Visit to Town Hall, and the Slim Tower of Mangia. In the afternoon cooking class and dinner. Return to the hotel and the overnight stay.
Day 6 – Siena: Montepulciano / Pienza excursion
Full day excursion. Reach Montepulciano, passing through the Crete Way, meet your guide for a wine & olive oil tour taking you to Cortona area, here you will see olive fields and vineyards, get an interesting explanation on the production process, than tasting of olive oil and Tuscan bread, togheter with some local cheese and a glass of good wine. The tour will include Montepulciano historical centre with the ancient wine cell. In the afternoon reach Pienza, famous for the production of the Tuscan “Pecorino” cheese. After a guided tour, free time for shopping in the typical food stores. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 7 – Siena: Perugia / Torgiano / Deruta excursion
In the morning leave for Perugia, stop at the Chocolate Factory for guided visit and tasting, time for shopping. Then transfer to the city centre for a sightseeing tour. In the afternoon transfer to Torgiano, visit the historical Museum of Wine, opened in 1974, it offers a rich collection related to wine production and culture. Before returning to Siena, stop in Deruta, famous for its ceramic and majolica crafts, free time for strolling around and shopping in the local workshops and stores. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8 – Departure from Milan / Rome
In the morning, transfer to Milan or Rome airport for flight departure.
